2015 has been my best year to date with AMSOIL and I'm glad it was as both of my other businesses were down this year so I was very grateful for my AMSOIL commission cheques each month. Here's how the year compared to last:
Catalogue Customers have grown in number from 111 to 144 but sales in this category are down from $9,200 to $7,300. These numbers do not account for my database of 80 local customers however. I estimate this to have grown from approximately 50 at this time last year. What is great about my local, catalogue customers is that many of them are now repeat buyers so a day rarely goes by that I don't hear from somebody looking to purchase some AMSOIL.
Preferred Customers has increased by 27 and as much as I'm happy to see this growth, I know I lost a very large number of PCs through the year as well. I tried to stay in touch with some of my PC's throughout the year but I found that my method wasn't very efficient or effective so I think I'll simply let the PCs expire should they choose to do so. I expect 2016 to improve a little as AMSOIL corporate has committed to spending new energy in helping us retain more of our Preferred Customers through email marketing and discounts specifically tailored to Preferred Customers.
My team of Independent Dealers has increased from 24 to 41 and the team's sales have increased from $23,700 to $41,275. I'm happy to see this growth as I personally benefit from the larger sales volume but I would really like to see each dealer find new success as the average is still just $1000 in sales per dealer. I know AMSOIL has some great new training coming out in 2016 so hopefully between that and anything I can do, my team members will start to find greater success in the coming year.
Retail on the Shelf accounts have grown from 3 to 9 and sales volume has increased from $206 to $4,769. I know that the top earners in the company work on growing this category. I'm not overly comfortable making sales calls on retail accounts but there is massive potential here if I can find a way to make contact with more potential ROTS accounts.
Commercial Accounts increased from 1 to 3. Much like my lack of ROTS accounts, I have huge potential for growth in this category. In fact, of my 3 commercial accounts, only one is ordering and that account spent the entire $3350. Definitely some work for me to do here.
Sales by Product
It's funny, I still remember getting my first commission cheque for $94.59 and how excited I got. I was just days/weeks away from calling it quits in my AMSOIL business...that cheque arrived just in time to convince me to stick it out and boy am I glad I did!
"My goal for 2015 is to increase my monthly income to $2000. This equates to roughly $20,000 USD for 2015. It's big goal but I believe it to be attainable with some effort."
I came up a little short of my $20,000 goal for 2015 but I'm still very satisfied with my progress.
For 2016, my goal is to earn $24,000 USD in commissions. Part of me thinks I should set a larger goal but I also want the goal to be attainable and I want my AMSOIL business to remain enjoyable. I'm only going to work on the parts of the business that I enjoy even though I know greater sales are possible if I work on areas of my business that I'm weak at...it's just not fun for me so I'm not going to do it.
That's all for now, if you have any questions or if I can help in any way, give me a call.
PS, if you are reading this and you are not already an AMSOIL Dealer, I'd love to have you on my team. Click here to become a dealer or call me directly and I'll help you get started.
